Ever wonder what a real man is? Do we even know where to find real men in today's cultural blindness??Are there any real men left??
A real man is a man who follows Christ no matter what the cost. You will find this man doing the work of the ministry, ie living the gospel as the Holy Spirit empowers.
At work his actions, deeds, words reflect the same of Christ, no matter what the demands of the job are, or the circumstances of the day's work load.
At home, in secret, a real man is reading the scriptures, praying, or just relaxing. It's ok for a man to relax sometimes. Rest is good. The man at home could be a "family man". In that case he is the priest of the home, whether he is a good priest or evil priest, we are still the priest, or spiritual leader, of the home.
The man at home could be single, or the product of a failed marriage covenant. In this case, the man is meeting his obligations to his children of the marriage regardless of his personal finances. Its called sacrifice. This man must BUILD up new relationships through Jesus with the children he may or may not be the spiritual head of still. Even though the household situation has changed, the love of Christ MUST grow BIGGER AND STRONGER between the dad and kids. It's called interaction.
The point is this: a real man is a man who is strong in the power and might of the Holy Spirit in the midst of tough times!
In my case, I'm the underdog. Always flying through evil, knowing that righteousness has already won the battle even though I might lose a few fights. Underdog's strength comes from both personal conviction (power inside) and from honor (power the Lord gives to lead a good life on the outside, fighting the evils of the day and to free those in captivity).
To the reader an exhortation: Be a real man like Jesus. He is the ultimate underdog!!
